Does this include the original prologue and epilogue?

I had this bought for my bday by a friend a earlier this year. Been dying to run it as a DM and my party loves playing Drow characters. After reading through it seems the Drow are the OpFor. Is it possible to run this with Drow PC's or givin the nature of the campaign would that be almost impossible without a REALLY good explanation?

I have run this before with a drow DMPC, which is a little different yes, but if you start the party with a Drow PC it shouldn't be an issue from someone who has run it before. In fact having Drow PCs might shake things up a little as to how it's done, it is just up to who runs it.

I have what I assume is an older PDF version (contains both 3.5and pathfinder 1e in the same book) of the middle chapters (Descent Into the Underworld, The Scourge of Embla, and Usurper of Souls). I absolutely LOVE this adventure, but running it is a massive headache. The books organization is so bad that I dread having to go to the PDF and TRYING to find something. A lot of the information that is placed before and after plot related elements could have been placed in a separate section in the back of the book. Pages upon pages of location information, side quests available are not necessary at those places. Important yes, but it absolutely ruins the flow and speed when I am trying to find plot related information. If that has been addressed I would like to know as the older version is no longer even listed in the store and I paid quite a bit for it back then to receive a rather lack luster product.

That is fantastic to know! I will consider picking it up again once I am able to.

I'm super interested in buying the PDF—although the price is so steep, even on sale. (Over A$100 full price, ouch.)

I understand there's a ton of content packed in, including things like maps and other bonus stuff. Is it possible to think about a 'lite' version with some of that bonus content trimmed away for a cheaper price?

I'll still keep my eyes peeled.

Quick clarification, although thank you for the supremely fast response; I meant $100 Australian Dollars. (Yes, the monopoly money country)

I'd easily pay the A$100 price tag for the full-colour hardcover, without a question to be honest. That said, nobody here sells anything like this, and delivery costs close to another A$100 on top of anything else. The worst part about living in Aus.

I don't mind the price, personally, I think it's fantastic to see value in a good product. I was just wondering about potentially a 'lite' version for newcomers to your series.

I'll definitely check out the flip-through though. Perhaps it will help me make the leap.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
