“You’re presuming there are kidnappers at all; what if she’s just missing?” Mason asked. He’d dealt with security concerns all over the world and he stayed very secretive about what those concerns were, or even which side he was on.

“Yes, but I think that’s the safe route at this point. And since there’s been no ransom demand that means she’s probably going to be sold. We’re probably dealing with Black Dragons, Nigerians, Russians, or a Cartel.”

“Another presumption,” Mason stated flatly. I sighed and the remaining pictures in my hand hit the planning work space in the “company” loft.

“Look, I don’t have much to go on here. I have grieving parents that my brother owed a favor to and they’re looking to me to clear that debt. I have a missing girl and it’s been more than 72 hours. Let’s get some information, ask around, do what we do. Darro, get the traffic camera footage from around the school. Mason, see what you can kick over on the gang front up in that area; let’s see if this is an isolated incident or if there are more missing kids that aren’t showing up on radar yet. Amber, start questioning people in the area, see if there’s been any strange vehicles or if there are new teachers in the school. I’m going to investigate the family a little closer,” I directed. Everyone nodded and immediately set about their work.

Before I left I looked back at the cork board. Four pictures were on it; two of family, one of the school, and one of 12-year-old Kira Jones. The utter lack of information we had on this case was chilling and it made my stomach clench.

The Adventure Generator for Wellstone City picks up where the Wellstone City Chronicles leave off and fill in gaps that our Encounter Deck is not capable of filling in. It gives the GM the control to craft adventures that fit within the fabric of Wellstone City, and it happens over the course of a handful of card draws. It is designed expressly for Wellstone City, though it leaves the system out of the generation, functioning equally as well with our Æther System as it does Savage Worlds!

Building a skeleton with some meat on the bones, this system still allows plenty of room for interpretation and customization to fit your particular group! Results made during playtests pulled several examples that were startlingly close to existant Wellstone City Chronicles. Some were simple smash-and-grab milk runs, others were complicated plots woven between several groups, shady deals, and double crosses on the PCs!

Pick this gem up today and extend your adventures in Wellstone!

Creating the sort of complex adventures that work best in the underbelly of places like Wellstone City isn't easy, and even the most creative of GMs sometimes needs a bit of a hand, a few ideas to spark creative juices... and this product is designed [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
