Intergalactic

You have been traveling the sector now for a month, and space is pretty dull. You have proved yourself as a pilot and want to see some action. Jason, your commanding officer, says you will fly the new Thunderbolt when you get to your squadron. You will be stationed on the new Aries-class Battleship. But for now, you are doing milk runs until your orders come in.

You remember stories your parents told you to pass the time. The earth burned, and the galaxy was at war. Those were the days. More exciting than this anyway. Your new home in the Aviron sector is barely explored, and your new ship will be investigating the other sectors beyond this one. You wonder what you will find there. Maybe you can rescue a captive space princess from an evil space station.

You land on Planet SH-8142. A smaller than earth world with 80% being covered by water, and it has over 7,000 large islands. The spaceport here is bustling as usual. You give a wave to the spaceport rep heading toward your ship. You both know the routine, and you just want to get a drink before you head out again. You make sure your fuel line is hooked up correctly, never leave it to some flunky to connect your fuel lines, you can lose your whole ship. Now off to the local watering hole Galactic Fire. On the way, your arm lights-up, and your orders are in. You scroll your display, and you can’t believe where you are headed to next.

Intergalactic is a Science Fiction Role-Playing game. A space odyssey playing out after planetary disasters forced residents of the earth to leave the Sol system. The future is yours. You will find endless opportunities for you to seek out old technology on long-dead worlds, meet strange alien races, and fight monsters. What could be more fun?

Intergalactic has two prologs depending on if you played Cyberpunk GenIsys and how that campaign ended, for better or worse. It uses the same 2d10 mechanics as all GenIsys Games Products.

Several innovations have been added to the Galactic system. The first being a streamlined wound system. The 2nd is a new innovative, blaster build system, so every blaster and blaster rifle can have different benefits depending on what you can afford.

Of course, we added telepaths, and depending on the pro-log you chose, it will change how they are used.

We have starships, and I must say when we added space debris and asteroids to the mix, the combat was a blast. Some of your favorite techs are still here, while some have been advanced. Net-runs are done by AIs since human brains are too slow. Droids are everywhere for everything you might need.

No it doesn't. What would you look for in this? I might be able to work on something and have it as a free tool available on the GenIsys Games web site.

Another thing. When the PDF is opened the upper left title identifier is labeled "The GenIsys Tome." Is this a beta version of Intergalactic?

Love the content and writing. One of my favorite items, the item creation tables, are awesome and well thought out with room for customization! There are a few grammatical mistakes and a really big table formatting error in the Gear section - Security & Surveillance Gear - pgs 176 - 186 where the table has been split up with one entry per page.

Thank you Lee. I fixed up the table, and also found a small format error. Will get a new book update to you all in the next few hours.

I am really interested in what kind of new enhancements have been added to Intergalactic. Being a sequel to Cyberpunk, does it use the same Enhancements or are there new ones? Also of interest, are Psionics included in the game or will they come later, if at all?

Thank you, Lee

Are record sheets coming soon? The book doesn't appear to contain the PC or ship sheets that it mentions.

Ambitious, most Sci-Fi RPGs have trouble filling one galaxy, nevermind many.

I agree with Alexandre L a quick start would make a buy/no buy decision a lot easier

This would greatly benefit from some information regarding the mechanics that power the game...

Actually you added the type of dice used to make (presumably) the tests (skills and/or combat), nothing more, nothing less, and point towards another product to get (presumably) that information. So, basically, at this moment my interest just dried up.

Thanks though.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
