D100 Dungeon - The Dragon Armour (Book 3)

ADD TO WISHLIST >
Selected Option:

The Dragon Armour - Adventure Book One (Book 3) introduce a different way of playing D100 Dungeon, and will give you choices much like a traditional adventure game book. It use all of the D100 Dungeon game rules from the main rule book with a few modifications.

Also included are some additional rules that can be used in any of your D100 Dungeon games; whether playing a quest, campaign or an adventure. They include rules to destroy doors that are blocking your way (either with spells or by smashing through them with a hand weapon), and rules for multi-slot armour (that protect more than one location slot). The new adventure game also requires a new type of dungeon sheet and if you own the mapping game included are some new tokens needed to play the adventure game, which are included to cut out (or can be downloaded).

You will need the D100 Dungeon rule book to use this book.

WHICH PRODUCT IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Below are some details on the PDF and Print on Demand options available to you, which might help you to choose which product is right for you.

The Watermarked PDF is what we refer to as the Digital Edition. The watermark is very small and appears at the very bottom of every page on the left hand side. It will show your account name and an order number; it will not block or cover any of the text inside the book. The pages have a white background.

The Hardcover, Premium Color Book is what we refer to as the Collector’s Edition. It has a collector’s badge on the front cover and a gold spine effect. The pages inside are printed in full colour with a background on premium paper. The book has a glossy hardback cover. Please note: There is not a Collector’s Edition of the Watermarked PDF, and so if you choose the “Watermarked PDF + Hardcover, Premium Color Book” option, the PDF you download does not have the full colour background.

The Hardcover, Standard Color Book is what we refer to as the Hardback Edition. It has a standard badge on the front cover and a blue spine. The pages inside are printed in colour on a white background and on white paper. The book has a glossy hardback cover.

The Softcover, Standard Color Book is what we refer to as the Softback Edition. It has a standard badge on the front cover and a blue spine. The pages inside are printed in colour on a white background and on white paper. The book has a glossy softback cover.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: At times the print on demand books will need to be updated and may be temporarily withdrawn from the product range. This process can take a few months to complete, and will become available as soon as the update is complete. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Watch a 7 minute video (below) to discover more about the print on demand books and watermarked pfd.

I am no angel, quite the cretin I suppose.

Just purchased this to add to my previous purchase of 4 colour hardcovers for D100 Dungeon.
And I'm getting The Dragons Return as well also in colour hardcover.

Darn right.
They always say, "if you liked this, please buy the real deal" Neeeever been so easy in 40 years of role gaming.
I deserve the best, and so I got the best :)

I love this game, I bought the PDF version to see if I liked it, then ordered hardback. A lot of hard work went into creating this and am thoroughly enjoying this game! I will be purchasing the rest of the the books in this product line. Thank you Mr. Knight! And keep pumping out more content!

The repeated complaints about not being able to print are getting tiresome.
I guess for some people $13 to enjoy someone’s creative and I am sure countless hours, weeks, month of hard work is too much to ask.
The demand for high quality work that can be just taken or at most given a token value is what I see as “a dick move.” Makes me wonder how much said person values their own work, if they actually produce anything of value.
The fact is anything you need to print to play this game IS available for FREE download and printable. You do NOT need to print the book to play it. In fact it is quite easy and fun to play on a tablet or computer. Which all prior commenters apparently have. Not to mention their internet connection. And printer. And ink. Priced up any of those lately? What do you pay your ink and ISP, or do you get that for free somehow?

I agree Joseph. I 1st tried the pnp version of D100 that's available free on bgg, then bought the v3 download. I love the way it works on my Android tablet. From the index page I tap on the desired table and I'm there. Then tap the return arrow and I'm back to the index. This is much easier than flipping thru pages or shuffling a stack of tables. Couldn't be easier and I can take it with me easily without hauling a brief case full of printed material.
It's easy to cross reference Mr. Knight's other books while playing just by having them in another tab. For me, it's a space saver and speeds up set up when I just want to play a game without hauling out one of my huge box games.

Eduardo - So you can't hand it out for free. That's why. Martin makes money off of something that he's clearly taken a zillion (I calculated this precisely) hours to perfect. The least we can do is give him a few bucks for hours and hours of entertainment.

“So you can’t hand it out for free”

That is a really dumb argument. You can just say “so the creator is compensated for their work because thats what they want.” Shawn Tompkin provides a non-print secure pdf of ironsworn, nearly 300 pages, for free. The pdf version of all supplements are also free with purchase of physical copies. I’m not saying creators shouldnt be compensated for their work. They have the right to set whatever price they think their work is worth. Thats a choice they make. You dont have to white knight on product pages for the creator.

You might also want to note that there isn't just one version of this game there are three. For us early adopters we've bought (and paid good money for) all these versions without one word or act of generosity on the part of the creator. ATM I'm unsure about which rules, which optional rules from which version/volume comprise the actual game. Clarity would be good. Instead we are treated as if we were thieves waiting outside the door ready to run off with the writers creative effort should the opportunity arise.
I've had many hours of fun with your creation, despite the need to flick between files and devices to find the table/info I need when playing. What a world this creator must be living in to feel themselves so vulnerable to such exploitation.

Hi Gumboot B,

The three version of the game are as follows:

V1 the original print n play version available on BGG for free.
V2 is a update on V1 and the changes are minimal, you will hardly notice the difference and is on BGG for free.
V3 is updated further with lots of new things added, it is also supported with additional rules and quests here on drivethrurpg. Some more details are on my website https://www.mk-games.co.uk/d100dungeon and have been available since the very first release V3.

For the record, I don't agree to your accusations of my intentions or that I am exploiting anyone. My goal is to share my ideas, designs and work in a way that it allows me to continue sharing my ideas, designs and work. The books take hundreds of hours to produce from first writing through to creating covers and artwork arrangements and publishing in 3 different formats. For instance, the new book due out early next year is currently at 339,548 characters (64,193 words,...See more

No print, no buy.
Martin,
It's a dick move not letting us print. However, there are ways around your selfish scheme.

DriveThru,
You should insist on all PDFs you offer being printable.

Hunh??

I live in a small Caribbean Island, I buy pdf's and print simply because it can cost $30 or more just to have a $20 book mailed to me. This is an odd choice on behalf of the author

Personally, I do not get much from a preview that does not show past the table of contents. It tells me only about the topics covered and almost nothing about the quality of the content.

Hello Martin,

You should REALLY re-think your no-print approach. Here are 3 good reasons why:

1. It is ineffective. The protections can be circumvented by those who would have misuse this anyway.

2. It is counter-productive. It does not help your company's image. Instead, it makes your company look bad- just take a look at what other companies are doing here and you will realize how freedom to use as needed and NOT restrictions in the use of their products is a key to their success.

3. It is the wrong medium for DRM. This is similar to 1, but needs to be emphasized. You are selling an RPG game, something folks would PRINT before they play. Do not take away from the usefulness of your products- you are preventing people from actually playing your game! Why would they recommend it if they cannot enjoy it as they should be able to, by printing what they need before a game?

Please, be realistic and be smart- either remove the restriction or take away...See more

George, this guy clearly put his heart and soul into this. I'm pretty sure he's not concerned about his "company look[ing] bad." I can't believe I'm taking time to argue with strangers online, but I even more can't believe you're complaining that using his products is a "nightmare" for you. So don't buy it. Or buy in print.

Hello Martin,

Thank you for your reply. I am glad you made the right choice for your supporters here. I already purchased the book a while back as you can see, because, like I said, I believe you have created a masterful solo experience. Today, I will also get whatever else you released that I do not have already.

Please keep creating these books!!!

P.S. : BTW do release your steam app for mobiles/tablets so it can get some good use! Steam is great, but android/iphone store will give you a better customer base.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
