SPACEPORT BAR PLAYSET
A 3D Print: STL File Collection
FWG3D033

Created By: Dave Woodrum

Welcome to the Spaceport Bar! Get drunk on the intoxicating questionable fluids of over a thousand worlds! Make a fool of yourself dancing to that dusty old galactic hit cover tune that no one listens to anymore. Flirt with that sexy looking barfly and then get a weird itch that won't go away. Lose all your credits gambling at one of the tables in the corner. Get into a fight with a member of the local colony police. Bump into a pesky customs officer as you stumble your way back to your ship. Have drunken fun making all kinds of poor life choices!

The Spaceport Bar Playset is a collection of over 40 STL files that allow you to print up your own intergalactic watering hole locations. Perfect for gamers using miniatures (28mm to 30mm) who want a little bit of seedy galactic mischief in their space opera style campaigns. This collection includes the bar and other major furniture bits, various containers (bottles, glasses, kegs, etc.), and stuff for live entertainment (stages, large instruments, amplifier, etc.).

Character figures like the ones pictured on the cover photo image are not included. The figures in the cover photo were created with Desktophero Mini Maker and used at the expressed permission of Andrew Stockton.

The following lists include all the files in this set. At the end of the list are recommendations for printer settings.

PRINT SETTINGS:
We use a variety of settings at the Fishwife Games studio for 3d print testing. This is in part due to our efforts to test the prints on different models of 3d printers. For smaller things we recommend slow, high detail, and very thick walls.

The following settings are commonly used on our Ender 3 and Ender 5 printers and set up in Cura. Again, we recommend slow, thick, fine details but ultimately what has worked best for you.

Layer Height: 0.06mm
Wall Thickness: .8mm
Top Thickness: .6mm (10 layers)
Bottom Thickness: .6mm (10 layers)
Horizontal Expansion: 0mm
Infill Density: 15mm (Grid Pattern)
Printing Temperature: 200 C (for PLA)
Build Plate Temperature: 45 to 50 C
Enable Retraction: Yes
Print Speed: 40mm
Supports: Yes (we use lines setting)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
