Hollywood IDs

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Consider these to be Hollywood style realistic, they are not based off of actual Identification forms, but are instead reasonable approximations of what we expect them to be.

If you wish to give any feedback, suggestions or criticism, please feel free to leave a comment on the DriveThruRPG page.  Ratings are always welcome as well.

For the IDs, the pages file contains “Master Pages” (eg Templates).  To create a new ID, click on “+” (New Page), a pop-up will appear giving you the option of the 20+ IDs.

Once you have added the page, you can completely modify and change the page.

If you have any suggestions for a new Template / Master Page, please feel free to send a sample to me, and I’ll be glad to add it to the existing master pages in the next release.

If you do not own a Macintosh, or own Apple Pages, then you can go to Apple’s iCloud web site, and create a iCloud Account.  The iCloud website, includes the web version of Pages & Numbers, which will allow you to upload the document and edit it via the web application.

Please note, these are designed to be printed on 3.5" cards.

These are not graphic files, I could look at recreating them as graphics.

Everyone of these files have been created using a desktop publishing program, some of them do have graphics (eg the Logos, or Badges), but I can't simply save these as a PSD and they will be usable.

At minimum the default text would need to be removed... An alpha channel would most likely need to be added.

Currently this release is using the Apple Pages file format. It's designed to use features that Microsoft Word does not support.

As stated in the description, if you do not own a Macintosh, or own Apple Pages, then you can go to Apple’s iCloud web site, and create a iCloud Account. The iCloud website, includes the web version of Pages & Numbers, which will allow you to upload the document and edit it via the web application.

By the way, An iCloud account is free.

If this isn't your issue, or if you are having an issue loading this into iCloud, then could you elaborate on what you are having an issue with?

Okay. I was able to open them in Apple Cloud.

You came up with some interesting ideas and I know I can do better. I ju8st never thought anyone would be willing shell money out for the work. Still, 99 cents isn't much. So I am gonna have to show you up.

All in good competition.
Cheers

I am glad that you now have the ability to use the IDs.

As always, I'm always glad to get feedback, suggestions for improvements, and of course, suggestions for additions.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
