Honorable Heroes

Honorable Heroes is a collection of (9) pre-generated characters for Terrinoth (done in the same manner as the FFG pre-gens). However, these aren’t just any characters, but faithful translations of other heroes from Runebound and Descent to Genesys!

Each entry consists of one page of history, motivations, career notes, their NEW Heroic Ability and description (both physical and personality, as well as a large lore-based illustration!). Then, a two-page character sheet has all the information needed and ready to play! (along with greyed-out sections for using the character as a more advanced NPC if desired). A printer-friendly version of the document is also provided, along with the grayed-out talents left blank for advancement.

(9) NEW Heroic Abilities!

Three of the heroes (Dezra the Vile, Logan Lashley, and Ronan of the Wild) from the Descent novel, Doom of Fallowhearth are among the 9 characters within (and consider the additional lore in the novel). Ulma Grimstone and Pathfinder Durik (other characters in the novel) are already among the FFG pre-generated characters.

Many of the careers are from Trades of Terrinoth (which are themselves converted from lore in Descent and often mentioned in the Sourcebook…such as Spiritspeakers, Necromancers, and Knights) and accurately reflect the likely or possible careers of these heroes. In addition, many new Heroic Abilities (adapted from their Heroic Feats or Hero Abilities in Descent) are presented here as well.

I hope you enjoy getting to know these heroes as much as I have! Please check the preview as it shows the treatment for the first such hero (Elder Mok, an Orc Spiritspeaker), so you can see what to expect for each entry. Soon, I may include links to RPG Sessions versions of the characters (this involves some rather hefty data entry of custom careers and talents from Trades & Talents which is why it isn’t currently included).

This is the first installment of a 4-part series, each title having (9) pre-generated characters eventually covering all 36 careers adapted from the classes in Descent and mentioned in the sourcebook.

Developed by veteran GM Chris Markham (as Gazrok Games), this is one of many titles already released for the Foundry and for the Terrinoth setting. Though this supplement is set in the world of Mennara, it can be converted for use in your own fantasy world. The Genesys Core Rulebook, Realms of Terrinoth sourcebook, and either Genesys Dice or the Genesys Dice App are required to use this product.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
