The Light Armored Vehicle is a collection of 3D printable files that build a detailed vehicle. They have been designed to print easily and to work with 28-32mm scale figures. The vehicle can be used for systems like Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K and Warhammer 40k Kill Team, Corvus Bellis Infinity, and many other sci-fi and post-apocalyptic games.

Components

The Light Armored Vehicle kit has core components and variant pieces. Included are:

  • Three options for turret and crew compartment armor.
  • Multiple hatch options, including a driver, commander and loader hatch that can be positioned open or closed.
  • Two bow weapons, and five main guns for the turret.
  • Movable turret and gun that elevates up to 25 degrees.
  • Details like a turret-mounted machine gun, spotlight, and TOW/ATGM launcher tube.
  • Storage compartments and resin tools that can be glued to the vehicle sides.

Build instructions and photos are included. This kit also combines with our ARV kit so you can build a fully tracked option as well.

Printing

The pieces are designed to be printed on a home FDM 3D printer with:

  • A 0.4mm nozzle.
  • 0.08 - 0.1 mm layer height.
  • 15 - 20% infill.
  • Supports are only required for a few of the .STL files.
  • Rafts may be required for the smaller parts, depending on your 3D printer.
  • Assembly of printed parts is required.
All .STL files are oriented correctly so you can load them into your slicer and print them immediately. The parts have been designed to print face-up for the best detail. All .STL files were sliced using Cura and test printed on a Creality Ender 3. All resin parts are optional, and were test printed on a Creality LDR-02.

Just got it and when I went through the parts with my slicer there seems to be a stl file missing. The part that the side plates mount on and the turret ring mounts on. The main cabin is missing. The file that says cabin is the driver and engine front.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
