THE HAUNTED HOUSE- DELUXE VERSION

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The Haunted House is a incredibly detailed four floored mansion designed for printing with an Ender 3 or similar sized 3d printer. The Haunted House contains variant interior print options, one with minimal interior walls and no interior texture, one with the interior walls but no interior texture, and a version for or without LED fireplaces.
Miniature paintings, and stained glass panels are also included.

In the Deluxe version, it also comes with 4 miniatures (a girl, a boy, the pair together, and a specter), and over 90 accesory item or item components for furnishing the interior of the Haunted House! Note:  Added "Small Cuts" version for those with smaller print beds. Each floor is cut into smaller sections- and should fit in most smaller print bed printers. It will take extra effort, and glue or epoxy however.

Files are sold under a non-commercial, non-remix or redistributable license. For commercial opportunities, please contact us.

Does anyone know what the 9.23.21 revision files are? Are these newer or older?

revised files are newer. The names are there to help show the revision date (originally added in Jan 2021, So 9.23.21 files are 8 months newer) :-)

Has been a fun challenge to print these. Below contains my setup and settings that I finally figured out to get high quality prints with faster printers (especially ones with poor print cooling).

Printer: Ender 3 S1 Pro - Textured Bed
Flashed to be used with Mainsail & Klipper, controlled by RASP PI 4 (8GB RAM)/w PoE Module with Fan Cooling

Filiment: Elegoo PLA+ - Grey
Highly suggest PLA+ as there will be tons of bridging and it helps significantly on details such as bricks, rails, and lights.

Extruder Temperature: 215C
Bed Temp: 60C

Building sections took 1-2 days overall to print time. I learned you have to print slow around 30-50% (depending on detail), be at 75% Extruder Factor, and .10 Pressure Advance.

This will prevent blobbing, stringing, and allow filament to cool faster as some detail on the textured walls/floors can cause vibrations. The first 3 layers are very important to nail down. I usually watch closely to...See more

Do you happen to have any pictures/guides/suggestions on the best way to install the LED lights? Also, is there any chance you have any pictures of a finished printed version of the house?

There is a page in the guide showing how to install the LED lights. Not sure what more / how else to show it.
There are a LOT of finished pictures out there on facebook of the house. Do a search in the DMs of Curse of Strahd and Ravenloft FB group

Thank you! And I just came back to say that I found the page in the guide; it must've been corrupted the first time I downloaded it because the page wasn't there before haha. I appreciate the quick response! :)

Each floor is 3 sections, it is designed to fit on an ender 3, but no- you will not be able to print all 3 sections at once on the printing bed.

What scale is this at, is it suitable for mini's as designed or will it need to be scaled up? Also what infill % did you print at and about how many rolls did the whole project take?

It is designed with a 1" grid, and is suitable for 28mm-32mm miniatures.

I have a Form 3. It's build platform is 6 inches. I looked up the Ender 3, which has a larger build platform (apx. 8 inches). Will this be appropriate for my printer?

Thanks much.

The Dining Room door isn't right. The indentions keep going but the wood grain stops short leaving blank spots. Is there an easy way to fix this?

I would be happy to share when I finish. I'm also printing at 125% just to get a little more space for my players to move around. I'm taking it pretty slow right now though due to multiple projects at once. I just finished the 2nd floor.

I have found another issue during my prep for the 3rd floor. Floor 2.2 (with floor cutout for the stairs) is missing the baseboard in the cutout area so it's blank space.

Brad- did you check the FL2_Spiral_Stairs_r11721.stl? They should be corrected for the height. I'll try to get the baseboard texture adjusted soon- I can't remember why I left that area untouched.

This is an amazing model for my Strahd campaign. I skipped the Death House into, but now am going back to revisit it and this model has me excited to run this part of the campaign. Excellent work all around. The rooms fit perfectly together and the extras are too numerous to count. Well worth the price. I wanted to drop a 5 star review but for some reason DMs Guild has me locked from making any reviews even though I have purchased many things from them including this set.

I have both a filament printer and a resin printer I am thinking about using the resin printer for some of the smaller items in this file IE chairs, tables, figures is there anything i need to watch out for or just shouldn't bother trying to print on the resin printer?

I would recommend .2mm and 10-15% infill on the house (I used 10%, but you may need 15 if your printer isn't well calibrated), and .16 to .2mm on the accessories (beds and cushioned items I went down to .16).

How about supports? I'm assuming you used Cura? Does about a day and a half per textured part seem to make sense?

I used no supports on the print, and the stringing was nominal. A day to a day and a half to each main floor section is about correct :-)

Do any of the main house parts require supports? It looks like the "roof 2" piece will have issues on the stairs. I just dont want the stairs to fail after that long of a print if i dont support them right

Tyler- many people have printed the entirety without supports- anywhere across a variety of FDM machines.
There will be some small amount of trivial cleanup required on bridged sections like stairs and doorways- but it's nominal and realistically much less then if you enabled supports :-)
I will note that it sends to slice better in cura than slicer or s3d.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
