Grungnak Fearless

Monster of the Month — Volume 2, Issue 6 — June 2021

A truly monstrous Rune Master is presented in this last issue of MOTM's mini-series of Rune Masters. Grungnak Fearless is a brutal Death Lord of Zorak Zoran, the God of Hate and Vengeance. She has risen from lowly bandit origins to shake up the status quo of Glorantha's classic "adventurer's playground," the Big Rubble. This dangerous antagonist and her berserk followers will provide a challenge even to experienced adventurers.

In addition to describing Grungnak, this issue includes:

• Stolen Fire, a magic item reflecting Zorak Zoran's perspective in the famous Yelmalion myth, the Hill of Gold
• The Death Lord's lover, Bazzik Fineteeth, and her young insect warden, Fenhield Mantis-Friend
• A short-form Rune cult of Gorakiki the Insect Mother in her aspect as Gorakiki-mantis, suitable for gamemaster and player use alike!

This supplement is designed to be useful for RuneQuest players who only own the core rulebook. However, it is recommended that the gamemaster also have access to the Glorantha Bestiary for additional detail about the Uz.
