Dark Astral: Chapbook for ZWEIHANDER RPG

This product sounds like 40k with the name filed off, but the truth is that it is just 5 classes and an armory page for what stats you get when using warhammer 40k weaponery.

I bought the book expecting infrmation on how to adapt to a 40k setting or what was done for their version of one. Instead it is just a few short pages giving the barest hint, 5 classes to give a hint... and then a list of armory for what weapons and armor you can give to your characters.

If they replaced 'Chain-sword' with 'Magic Sword' then I doubt you would notice the difference between them which is really a shame because it sounded like the book had something put into it besides an armory with little in it.

This is a descent system to help test the waters and see if your a fan of this RPG and more importantly... if you and your group can manage a sandbox RPG. There is enough meat on this package to run a couple of sessions and the full version will certianly help... but I'll just warn some people that this system is different.

You are powerful and there is more focus on the world than the combat. The Book is more of a guide than a manual. I would recemind it to others, but I would tell them that a couple of things are abstract because that's how they are soppused to be. If your a fan of wide brush strokes and building your own legacy, nation, or army then you'll have fun. If you prefer clear cut lines, and clearly defined rules then... maybe the main book might help, but I honestly don't know.

Still it's a descent system and you might enjoy it enough to buy the main book. If not... well it might give you an idea or two.

Morts • A World of Adventure for Fate Core
Publisher: Evil Hat Productions, LLC

Morts is a nice addition to the Fate Core Series. You get a descent build for your future stories and a "reason" for your players to go nuts while keeping them under control. Zombie removal is for the insane, ecentric, and poor/desprite.

You get three new races/builds to play around with and this is one of those "zombie worlds" where society already collapsed and just picked itself back up again.

While the material they give you is a little bit short... it's an addition to my RPG library that I gladly recomned to someone else if only to see another group have a skelton, human, and ghost all argue about if it would be culturally insentive to start singing the ghost buster theme song while they are shooting zombies in the face lead by an undead specetor that wishes to destory their town... over a parking ticket.

Iron Kingdoms Roleplaying Game: Monsternomicon

Much needed foes and fluff to fill those missing gaps in the Iron Kingdom bits. Missing certain foes for your campaign or need some help setting up part of a plot. This book will give you a list of enemy (mostly monsters as stated in said title) and a couple of set ups to even modify those monsters. While it does give a lot some of it may feel a little left out (infernals) though the rest helps fill in as it also gives some of that monster info in some of the No Quarter issues.
